Land Rover Defender 2005
2005 only saw the introduction of new front and second row doors made from an all-steel construction, which were pressed rather than welded from sections. Being slightly heavier and made from a single material, they have better anti-corrosion properties as they do not suffer from galvanic corrosion that blighted the previous design. Seeing as they are steel they received a zintec coating, which has lead many people to refer to them as "galvanised", which is not incorrect, but they are not "hot-dipped" as many people visualise the process to be.
